hey nino,
i feel like you are almost trying to apologize for being and feeling ill.
don´t! you are ill, so it´s totally ok to say and to feel like crap! it´s normal! and get help if you feel like you need it! you don´t have a regular cold, so you have every right in the world to ask for help and say, oh i feel really bad today, can we please do something about it.

but i can imagine that in your case it must be very, very hard to be in a foreign country, not to have your family and friends around you and especially, not to be able to communicate in your own language. and i can imagine that this makes you stay quiet and hold back a lot of questions. but you shouldn´t, so tell yourself that it´s ok to ask your doctors and nurses to be patient and take some extra time to explain things to you!
get well soon and take care!
nusch

Hello everybody,

It is so wonderfull to feel that there are so many nice people around, in real life, I mean in the healthy life with all competition and ambitions we are not so sensitive to each others problems. When I first wrote here, I did not know if anybody will read my message, for me at that time it was like letter in inclosed bottle, throught in a sea. But I see that I was wrong. Thank you for beeng for me there. Strangely I write more about my problems in the forum, than I share with my friends, which are constantly phoning me. I feel like you , beeng in one boat with me, feeling me better, feeling when I am falling or standing again. Thank you for that support, I am not taking that for granted, it is a great thing. I know I will manage to go through, with or withought complications, at the end I will not remember so acutely this phisical feelings I have now, but I am sure I will always remember these letters from the people which stand so strong beside me, without even knowing me, in this terrible times.

much love to all
nino

Dear friends,
because I had a lots of pains in epygastrium, already more than 3 days, I did go to ambulance, probably I should have done earlier. They think I have acute gastritis-duodenitis(stress ulcers?), gave me pantoloc, has helped a little. But pain is still there. They made labor and said it is not a heart, not blood clot, not pacreatitis, so at least...

In last times a lots happened...
So hope it will be improving,

much love to everybody,
nino

My dear friends,

Today I am nearly as my usual me. I want to tell all who start chemo, first days are difficult and you should do it through, by taking good care of all appairing symptoms, but then it becomes better and better, every day you gain the strength and you are back to normal, do not be pessimistic when it is allover so bad(after 3 days of epygastric pains I was pessimistic, but if I would have immediately when pains appair go to ambulance, I would spare three days of suffer, good lesson for future), it is not forever... and of course the hope that we will be healthy again is so strong that we all will make it through!

In some days I will get new one, but today I am enjoing my today!

All the best to you,
Nino

... now you did it! :daumen:

The next unpleasant day will come of course, but the most of the upcoming days will be ok.

And after all you will succeed! :carrot:

Hi Nino,
glad to hear you are feeling better, hopefully your body gets use to the chemo, so it wont throw you off everytime you have a treatment.
As for the pain, ask your doc to give you the strongest pain medication possible, you got enough on your plate right now, you should not have to deal with anything else. My bones start aching after I got those neulasta shots (to bring the white blood cells up) the pain was so bad that I got zero sleep and could not function for days, so my doc got me on percocet's and boy was I in heaven :o) I stayed on them until treatment was done, it was like getting your life back. I could not have done it without it.
Keep your chin up,
hugs
Conny

Hi Nino!

I told you this, do you remember? In my case, it was exactly the same. Thats completely normal! My Leucos were high enough after 3 weeks. So sometimes I waited and sometimes I took Neupogen. Some people also say that this is a good sign, so the chemo "is working".

No matter Nino.

Nice greetings julsi

Oh, I really know this... :yeah:

I remember only one (of eight!) chemos, which was done at the day planned. All the others, I was too late because of my leucocites...

Absolutely no problem.

Hi Nino,

same here, after my first chemo I was down to 400 and my doc told me I have to have at least 1000 to continue chemo. I kind of liked it because I got another week off before going on with that %&)).
As I mentioned before I had to have those neulasta shots every other week, at least 24 hours after receiving chemo. I guess if getting chemo every other week in some cases it is just not enough time for your body to produce the cell by it self so it needs the help of those shots.
Don't worry you'll be fine , enjoy your week off, once they firgure it out they keep you on a schedule..
Conny

Thank you, people, you are so great,

I hope it will grow in a week. Of caurse I am feeling now well and am enjoying it, already went to 3 theatre plays and looked at all new films I missed in this time of stress and visited 5 different restaurants, also I can not eat much, I enjoy living as normal. But... The lymphoma is still there and not getting treatment on time worried me. Thanks to you, I understood now that it is happening not so rare, so I will try not to think about it. You are right Julci, you wrote me that your treatments were also delayed, but I was scared and wanted to be sure... Dear Conny, my leucos are at 2500, so I do not get any medicine yet, I hope you are right and this was only short time to recover. Thanks Marc, you are so nice. Now, also after I slept with this news and read your letters, I fell better, Thanks a lot,

much love to you,
nino

At the moment I am very tired as last time, hope the days go fast, and some short, but better time, before next chemo comes...

much love and wish of wonderfull healthy life to you all,

Dear friends,
I did have the infusion again after three weeks from previous one, and have difficult time as always in the begining, but what scares me more is that they planned next therapy after three weeks, assuming that my blood needs so long time, I did not find any studies about this topic in Internet, does it make any difference for the result? From the other side I understand with a low leucocites they will not continue chemo, while it is very dangerous. Is there any way I can influence the regeneration of a blood, oncologists did not suggest to take any medicine for it, but may be there is some alternative way to help bone marrow?
Does any of you have any experience with alternative medicine?

Thanks...

Seems nobody uses alternative medicine, so maybe it is bad idea to think about it, in addition I have such acute pains on the side of infusion in my hand that I hardly can think about anything else. I got some cream prescribed today but pharmacies were already closede, tomorrow I will buy it. My housarzt thinks it can be an inflamation of vens...

much luck to all of you
nino
